Football, a game that brutally tests the minds and bodies of even its strongest players, brings forth many lessons about the importance of perseverance, dedication and hard work. rootball has a way of bringing people together. Whether you play, coach or watch, you know how much football can mean to people.
As part of Vitamilk Ghana’s commitment to cheer up its lovers through series of events in 2023, Vitamilk Ghana had the maiden edition of the of the Vitamilk Soccer Tournament which was designed to bring the youth together to mingle, have a good time and engage in sporting activities as well as interact and network during the event.
The first edition of the Vitamilk Soccer Tournament took place at the Presec Legon Astro Turf on Sunday 5th March, 2023 at 12:00pm. It was hosted by Vitamilk Strawberry brand ambassador Anita Akua Akuffo who also facilitated some proceedings of the event. The tournament had five football teams to compete with each for the utmost prize. The football
teams were Dancegodlloyd FC, Twitter FC, DWP Academy FC, Bae FC and Menscook FC. After the first group stages of the tournament, DWP Academy FC, Twitter FC and Menscook FC were eliminated from the tournament whereas Bae FC and Dancegodlloyd FC met each other at the finals of the tournament. Bae FC came out as winners of the Vitamilk Soccer Tournament whiles Dancegodlloyd FC came out as first runner-up of the tournament.
The winner of the Vitamilk Soccer Tournament, Bae FC was presented with a Cash Prize, Ten Boxes of Vitamilk Strawberrv and a Vitamilk branded troophy. he second runner-up of the tournament. Dancegodlloyd FC was also presented with Cash Prize and five boxes of Vitamilk Strawberry.
It was a fun-filled activity which brought a number of youths together for a good course. As this is the maiden edition of the event, we hope to turn it into a yearly event and expand it in all areas including the number of teams participating, massive publicity, location of the event, prizes to be won, etc. since lots of Ghanaians enjoy football activities.
